crt options in cores

Postby caver99 » Sun Feb 12, 2017 2:40 pm

i have a mist now only for a week or two and i am made up with it all bar the arc core works for me.
i am going to have a look at the fpga programming and have a try and see if i can remember any of my programming haha
any way back to the question, would it be possible to implement crt options in cores like the c64 cpc and st for things like action replay and multiface, i know that things like this are not as important as compatible and functionality

thanks

crt in emulators is for carts like the c64 action replay/retro replays and multiface in the sd spectrum, atari st's and amstrads but can also be called roms or bin images just depends on who has backed them up

so you mean the .crt file format? (whatever that is)
It might be simpler to convert them into one of the supported formats, such as extracting the PRG files for example.

You can't for some cartridges like the action-replay which caver99 mentions, as that is a a "Freezer" type cartridge ..

@caver99 -- right now the C64 core doesn't support CRT type files unfortunately. It could certainly benefit immensely if someone were to add that.

on the mist you could use the nmi button to activate the action replay or like they do on the zx core use shift f11 and the action replay would be good for the fast load and the ability in the utica menu etc
it only loads like a normal cart
