Call of (boxed) Atari STBook owners

Postby Robson » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:02 am

Hi,

After the reproduction of the falcon's cardboard box - which is at the printers now - my next project would be the box of the STbook.

This is a very rare thing, so I need your help. Please get in touch if you have the original box and help me with photos and dimensions, other measurements.

Thanks.

Don't have a box, but I am definitely down for one of these if you can get it off the ground.
FireBee, Falcon -Soundpool case: CT63@95Mhz + 14MB/512MB + 16GB SSD + FPU + Phantom 25/50 + SuperVidel + SoundPool FDI + FA8 + ADAT + Eiffel, TT030: 4MB/16MB + Crazy Dots, Mega"SST" 12, STbook, STacy 2, MegaSTE, STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Thanks Darren. I know few people interested in that too.

I think I need to estimate the size of the box in this case. And the artwork not visible on the 2 pictures. I couldn't find any other.
I guess it's very similar to any other boxes, like the fragile info on the falcon box.

Falcon is much easier, it's same as an ST but I guess for the STBook you need to do your own inserts.
Go creative :)

I'll do mine from a polystyrene sheet with some spray glue and hot wire cutter and as long as it's stable I'm happy.
Will also ask for quote from companies so we'll see which comes cheaper.

BTW I asked one change on the proof above, not to round the closing lid if possible. That way it's easier to tear those corners but it's closer to the original look. I expect this to be finished in 3 weeks but the production is in Hungary, I'd need to get it delivered somehow.

Great project!

Actually, I could need two of these boxes.

By the way, I think I know someone who owns an original ST Book box, including inserts. I have contacted this person and referred him to this topic.

Let´s see if he gets back with more detailed pictures.

Ouch. :).

Thanks for that. I hope he can help us out (I guessed what's on the other side of the box). The artwork is with the printers and waiting for final confirmation. We need that info quite quickly to be able to make any final changes.

As it stands 10 pcs will be produced and it will go as:
1 x Dal
1 x jvas
2 x myself

6 more available as it stands.

Price will be around £50 excl. shipping due to low volume.

I asked the printers to postpone the printing by Monday (for now).
