This is a pirate copy of a £25 book which is on-sale today. (It was only written this year!)

I don't think this link is something Atari-forum should be advertising.

Thanks for the heads up Alex. I deleted the post. I suggest if anyone downloaded the linked file, then they may want to consider buying the actual book.

No this is not a pirate copy, I purchased the Ocean and upcoming US Gold books and was sent the link to the Spectrum PDF by the author of all 3 books in an email yesterday. So I guess he's giving the PDF away for free as I never purchased the physical version of the Spectrum book.

Here's a screengrab of the email I received

Oh, ok I apologise.

But I notice in your 2nd post the screen capture says "backers only" i.e. people who have backed their products. I very much doubt the link was intended to be spread so people could obtain the PDF for free?

Or maybe I am wrong?

No problem, apology accepted, I can't explain it either as I never backed the Spectrum book so was surprised to get the link. Maybe he feels that after having a taster of the PDF then folks may be more inclined to purchase the glossy printed version.

Actually thanks a lot for the reminder, I completely forgot about this, but wanted to buy the Ocean one.
Just ordered it, it's a bargain for 4 GBP imho.

I also think this was just for the people who backed US Gold book.

Got the link for the Ocean book in the meanwhile, and it's well worth it - just in case anyone considers buying it.
The only annoying thing is that there was no email or anything about how to download the file; had to check the order status several times, until a small link at the top of the order page showed "download".
